This landscape directly make me feel during the first world war (14-18). I applied a cross treatment on it to obtain these frozen tones. I show it to many people and oberve that the feeling more often shared by europeans peoples than other peoples, perhaps due to different culture and history, I don't know.
I really like this - especially that everything seems so crisp, in spite of the fog, and the negative whitespace taking up so much of the sky gives it a really ominous, empty feel.
Course, I've been reading Wuthering Heights tonight as well, so I'm probably predispositioned to enjoying sights of misty moors and stormbent trees...!
I'm not too familiar with what cross processing does and how to do it, though? I'd love to give it a try some time... could you explain, please?

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P

If you see a man drowning and you can either photograph him or save him, what film would you use?
